ST. PIO CAPUCHIN ASHRAM, GAGWANA, AJMER, RAJASTHAN -210

Participation in church’s mission in the diocese of Ajmer and Jaiur was in the overall plan of the capuchin mission, but could not be materialized immediately on account of lack of personnel. The Franciscan missionary sisters of Ajmer founded by a capuchin, started a retreat centre and they invited the capuchins for the services. The bishop welcomed the Idea and also welcomed the capuchins to work in his diocese. Br. Thomas Menappattu, a charismatic preacher began the ministry along with sisters and within no time it yielded fruits…..There are people who come and spend time in prayer….there are conventions held for the laity. Many religious congregations who come with groups to make their annual retreat…..This place is situated on Mumbai-Delhi Highway. The sisters donated a piece of land for the friars to build a friary. The friary was inaugurated in 2012. The friars besides working in the renewal centre they also go about mission preaching in the diocese.
