25 Years of Missionary Work in Uganda

On 10th of August 2013, the Custody of Uganda will be celebrating 25 years of solid missionary work.  The Capuchins from erstwhile KGM Province took up the mission of Uganda and sent friars who were interesting in spreading the Gospel and implating the Order. The sacrifices and hardwork of the friars has yielded good fruits. Today there are good number of local capuchin Friars who have been formed and trained by the missionaries. The entire custody is under the Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka whose friars dared to touch the soil of Uganda and give their best in order to spread the Charism of the Capuchins. They have succeeded in last 25 years. The moment now is to thank the Lord for his continued support and blessings on the Mission. We pray that the friars together live the Capuchin call in order to serve the Church and society of Uganda.
I am leaving today in order to participate and join in the silver celebrations. I am carrying the good wishes and prayers of the General Minister for the friars of Custoday. Let us all pray that these 25 years may bring in a lot of grace and blessings to continue the good work and grow tremendously to make known Jesus throughout Uganda.
