Death of beloved father of Br. Sergio, General Councilor, Brazile,

FATHER  BENIGNO DAL MORO

He passed away today at 9.30 am, on January 15 , 2014 , in a hospital of St. John the Baptist Sananduva. His funeral service with funeral mass will be tomorrow, January 16 , at the Church of St. John the Baptist Sananduva ( center).

Don Benigno was born on November 20, 1917 in Cacique Doble RS . Had 96 years and two months .
In his youth he was a Capuchin seminarian . By reason of illness (suspected tuberculosis not confirmed ) , was asked to return home .
He married Lina Rossi (who died 19 years ago ) , with whom he had 15 children. He was the founder of the Rural Union Sananduva , for 12 years president of the cooperative from the same locality . Been closely linked to the Church . Was among the first ministers of the Eucharist in Parish Sananduva . For 23 years was permanent deacon . In early 1995 , his wife died .
Always he wanted to be a priest. A widower, with the explicit agreement of all the children , on December 23, 1995 , was ordained priest by the diocesan Bishop of Vacaria , Archbishop Orlando Dotti . Had not yet been a year of the death of his wife. However , we were sure that , from heaven , she cheered up . Benigno had studied theology in the Institute of Theology of Passo Fundo . Therefore , the process was very quick .
After being ordained , he worked full time for the church , devoting himself especially to the patients of the hospital and the home visit and blessing of families in their homes .
Nearly five years he had been having serious health problems , with many hospitalizations , 3 big surgeries , however , improved and returned to work in the Church . In the last 6 months thereafter, no longer able to get around independently , confied to his house , always manifesting desire to be healed to return to serve the communities . However , his mission was completed and went to His father's house .
He left 14 children (one deceased Antônio ) 38 grandchildren and 22 grand children.
