St. Francis Ashram, Thiyagadurugam

St. Francis Ashram, Thiyagadurugam

We left Vallam friary this morning around 8.30am for the convent of Sisters of St. Ann, after celebrating the Eucharist with the sisters of st. Ann. The provincial house, a school and home for the retired sisters, all three convents in the same campus. We had breakfast with the sisters and had a good chance to converse with the provincial. The congregation has a lot of schools and quite well placed economically. They are very generous towards our friars who give them spiritual help. The Provincial appreciated the service of our friars and thanked them for coming in all seasons of the year.
Then we proceeded towards Thiyagadurugam, which took us about 2 and half hours to reach. The road is a national highway connecting Bangalore and Chennai. It's a super express high and the greenish surrounding was the feast for eyes. It has been raining here but not heavy. We reached our friary exactly for the Lunch. The Superior and one more friar who was in France for 7 years on fraternal collaboration welcomed us. A good lunch followed by siesta led us to chapel for the opening talk of the Visitation. Two friars were listening to me fraternally, nodding every now and then. I was happy that they agreed to what I communicated to them.

This morning I met both of them individually n in the afternoon I will conduct a local chapter. The visitation will be concluded this evening with an Eucharist
