St. Francis Friary and School, Kale Aamb, Harayana

Here we have a small parish, school and the friary. There were three friars but one has been transferred due to ill health. This place is in between two civil states of Harayana and Himachal pradesh. The school exists here for last 13 years and has picked up well. There are about 730 students mostly Hindus and Shiks. The school is well known and education standard is very good. The number of the student is slowly rising up and the friars are hoping it that within three years number will cross 1000. All the friars along with sisters teach in the school. The presence of them is a big impact. The students are well behaved and disciplined.
I visited the students and spoke to them about career and focus on ones aim and goal in life. The sisters are a big support and help for the friars. They have a wonderful relationship. They are close to each other divided by a compound wall.
Here too yesterday i celebrated a Mass for the people.
This afternoon we went to visit the Bishop but he was out. We went round visiting the city which has two civil capitals of two states Punjab and Harayana. It is modern city with well planned roads which are very clean.
we visited a rock park which is made of rocks collected from various villages which existed in the present city of Amritsar.
