This morning for the Mediation i spoke about the Total surrender and renunciation of the person to the Lord. This point i explained through life incidents taken from my experiences and some which i read. renunciation leads to total freedom with which we are able to serve the Lord with whole heart and mind.
For the first talk I summarized the circular letter of the General Minister on our Identity and sense of Belonging. The various points were explained with some practical points and examples. The letter is much studied and reflected one. The friars can easily understand the letter as it deals with our day today life and living out our charism and spirituality.
For the Eucharist I spoke about being servant of the Lord. The more we serve the Lord the more we love him. As a Capuchin i ought to build up a personal friendship with the Lord through prayer and fraternal life. I quoted some important points from Fr. Cantalamessa's talk.
Afternoon session i spoke about a theme which we see it as cancer spreading fast....that is Individualism among the religious. Our experience teach us that we are all affected by Individualism. What can be done? How to do away this individualism? There are various important ways and means through which we can arrest it. First be faithful to the Capuchin charism and spirituality, priority to prayer and fraternal life, being aware of our capuchin identity and aware of the mission of the Order.
