Jesus Loves All.....sick and sinners....holy and unholy....good and bad....

Gospel: Mk 1: 29-39
On leaving the synagogue, Jesus went to the home of Simon and Andrew with James and John. As Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with fever, they immediately told him about her. Jesus went to her and taking her by the hand, raised her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. That evening at sundown, people brought to Jesus all the sick and those who had evil spirits; the whole town was pressing around the door. Jesus healed many who had various diseases, and drove out many demons: but he did not let them speak, for they knew who he was.

There are so many people in the world who need healing and forgiveness, many of them are suffering due to psycho somatic sicknesses  many of them are suffering due to the pain caused by others, many are left alone to fend themselves  But we have many strong and solid people in the world who take the place of God and serve these unfortunate people. These men and women of all religion care and show compassion through various charitable and social works. Our closeness to these people is what our religions teach us.

There is human suffering all over, can we just see, hear and read about it and do nothing.....Can we like many holy persons who gave their lives to eliminate and lessen the sufferings. Can we see in a small little child who suffers due to war, hunger and persecution, the face of our Loving God. Jesus and others did....they went around doing good and healed many of these people. They continue through you and me. God has love and compassion for us, can we show the same to the others? We ourselves can become good news in todays turmoiled and fragmented world. It is possible to bring people together because we all come from the same God. We can stand together and remove the sufferings of the people. How can i sit and eat in a five star hotel when my neighbors have not eaten for days together? How can i wear branded clothes when there are so many naked out in the street? How can i live in a posh house when there are millions who are homeless and shelterless. These are all sufferings which we need to see with our naked eyes and respond to them as Jesus and others did.
