A welcome with floral bouquets at the airport made us feel at home and with the brothers...
A Delegate house of Mizoram.....with the Delegate Br, Vincent

Aizawl City....a view from the Police station where Hugo had to register himself...

On the 4th Morning we left the delegate house for the city of Aizwal where the Capuchins have a friary, parish and school. Br. Prashant Lobo and Br. Arun Fernandes are the two friars working. Before visiting the friary we had to visit a Police station to register Hugo’s entry into the state. It is a law for the foreigners here. We reached the friary around 10.30am and had a lot of time to visit the friars and speak to them. We visited the school and spoke to the children too. This is a small parish in Aizwal where the Baptist church is very strong. The friars are involved in many pastoral activities besides teaching in the school. The friars are very happy here and the people love our friars.

After Lunch we left for Mamit in Mizoram itself. It is around 200 Km and we drove for more than six hours. The roads are not very good and we had to drive very slow. We were six of us in the car and had a good time. We prayed and sang hymns…..we also shared our experiences on the way. We reached around 8pm to Mamit where around another 7 friars were waiting for us. We immediately had dinner and then at 9.15pm met all the friars together for one hour…..it was good encounter…..
This morning we left for Guwahati. From Mamit to the Aizwal airport the distance is only 100 km but it takes four hours since the roads are bad….we left at 6am and reached to the airport at 10.30am. We are now in Guwahati cusutody house. Tonight we leave for Arunachal Pradesh by train 12 hours of journey…..please pray for us.
