Nazareth Ashram, Aluva

 This is one of the oldest friaries in Kerala. It has been the provincial curia of the united province and also once it was divided into three jurisdiction it became provincial curia of St. Thomas. This house is in the centre of the town and has a beautiful location.

 Friary has long corridors......there are 7 friars and one of them Br. Justinian who is the professor of Theology....he is now old.....The friars are doing wonderful work....The vicar of the house is involved in the family counseling.....many people come to friary and he goes about in the vicinity....
The Guardian is the vicar provincial....very active and dynamic....he is a good administrator too....Br. Paully is his name.....he is in charge of the Friendship Home which is an independent trust under the province.. It has got a printing press and about 40 employees working....the proceeds of the press go to run a school for the poor children, one home for the destitute women, there about 100 patients who receive financial help for dialysis every month. Besides the press helps poor girls who get married....there are numerous good social work carried on.....local people too contribute....

 This is the chapel of the Capuchins....every day there is an Eucharist....every Sunday there are three Masses celebrated....many people love to come to the capuchins....caps are loved by all the people...friars are available for confession and counseling.....great job done....
 The primary school for the poorest of poor....they cannot afford to go to best schools.....the friars find benefactors and support from printing press.....there about 400 students...

 This friar is an expert in Yoga....he conducts courses for the seminarians and laity too....he conducts yoga for the neighboring people in the morning and evening....he works for the Youth and through their help he is now supporting the poor people.....he along with the youth feed about 400 people in the hospital every Saturday......great work.....
