Our Lady of Victory Church and Friary, Revora, Goa

Friars preparing for the opening prayer service.....Br. Avinash is the member of the fraternity....he teaches in Monte Guirim school...he travels every day for about 45 minutes....he celebrates Mass in one of the Centres under the Parish....Pirene.....he is young and talented young friar...
Br. Steve, ex-provincial minister.....he is the member here,,,,,he goes round preaching and teaching...well accepted....he is still doing a lot for the Province.....he was in the USA for three months and brought good money for the Province.....

We reminded ourselves of our old days.....he spoke a lot of the old days as provincials and how we were able to connect...

The food was simply good....they have a woman who cooks for them....
Revora is a small parish with 75 families....most of them are outside for work and job purpose...the Church is very old and beautiful.....i celebrated the Mass along with Steve....

Steve and Me.....it was great to celebrate the Eucharist for about 25 people....

The primary school belonging to the Parish and diocese....there are about 125 students.....it is not growing as it is a government school....Steve is the Manager but finds difficult to pay to the teachers...there are four teachers two are paid by the government and two the Management has to pay...he has to collect money for these two teachers....people are poor around here...

The parish church dedicated to Our Lady of Victory

The friary or the residence....it all belongs to the diocese....

The school is well managed and organized....many more are now joining as the standard of education is slowly rising up....

Children were excited to see me.....they are smart and intelligent....80% of them are Non- Christians....the church still works with difficulties and problems to give good education...

Boys are more in the school than girls ....why???????

The teachers are dedicated and very smart too.....
Steve has a good rapport with the teachers as well as with the students....

 Laudato Siii.......read the quotation.....
