Padre Pio Friary, Navelim Goa

This friary has been a common formation house of the erstwhile KGM province....today it is only for the province of Goa.....there are many activities that are carried out here....there is huge demand for ministry....the friars go round for preaching....people come here for confession and counseling too....the friars have started a shrine of Padre Pio....it is popular and many devotees come to visit this shrine....the chapel has been renovated recently by Br. Nelson and fraternity....the people from the close by villages come daily for Mass.....

Friars Marcus and Agnel are getting ready to fly on 3rd of November to Mexico....they are going as missionaries....well prepared.....they have attended spanish classes....not sufficient but enough to communicate when they arrive in Mexico...Brothers all the best....they met me here....please pray for these two young and energetic friars....they are talented and gifted....May the Lord bless and keep them always happy ....

The garden of the friary....it has mangoes, coconut and some pepper....i was here for two years as an assistant director of the Pre-postulants in 1993 onwards....a great place to live.....

These mangoes are special variety....the Kajus too are good variety...hybrid....

The friary too has been renovated....during common formation time there used to be 40 students living here,,,,,,

It looks gorgeous .....and beautiful.....people passing by do stop....
