Work shop on the Problems of migration at Frascati

The European Union is all out to help the unfortunate victims of the War: the migrants. The number is already a huge one and it is difficult for any one to handle it. There are good number of them already in Europe but there are many more waiting to enter for safer place and future. The migrants go through a risky process in order to arrive in Europe. Already many have lost their lives in sea.

The horrible photos which are now available on the internet tells us a big and sad story of the War. What can the rest of the world do in oder save these innocent people? Can we spend less on arms and spend more on these people who are looking for a good human life.

The Holy Father too has given a call to be charitable and show solidarity to these people. He has requested all Catholics to be generous towards these people in whatever ways they can. The Church in Europe has opened arms to take care of these people.

Many are already contributing to make these people feel that they are wanted and loved. Let us do something for these people. Let us make our world safer place for all. Let us stop fighting in the name of God.

The Capuchins in Europe are planning to get involved in this humanitarian work. The JPIC office of the General Curia organized a three days seminar and work shop on the issues of migration and how the Capuchins could be helpful in solving this problem.

I am sure that we are not going to a big help but a small help will definitely do a lot of good. The people who will be saved will thank God for the Capuchins. We appreciate the initiatives of the JPIC to hold this workshop and to create an awareness among the Capuchin Friars.
