Monday in Holy Week

1. I still remember my schooling days. We were asked to do penance in our school during the Holy Week. And the Penzance for the boys were to carry benches and chairs for the Holy Week ceremonies which were conducted on our school ground. The parish had about 8000 Catholics and those days 95% of participation in all the liturgies that the parish conducted. The girls were asked to sweep the ground and we boys had to arrange all these chairs and benches for the parishioners.  And we did it with joy and with the sense of commitment towards the parish and the school. There was a fear too abut we did it as the teachers and even the assistant pastor joined us.
