The
morning air in Assisi is filled with the Spirit of Capuchin friars….Bishops
from all over the world…..wearing a big smile…..happy as ever to serve the
Lord…..they are happy to be Capuchins serving the dioceses and the clergy……most of them wear the
Capuchin habits in their day today activities…..while on administration they
wear the Bishop’s paraphernalia …..what is striking is the simplicity which we
can see in these friars-Bishops…..they love to be Capuchins…..serving the people
of God…..
For
the meeting there 56 Bishops from all over the world….out of which there 15
Bishops from Brazil alone…there are 16 Bishops from Africa….
This
morning began with some practical information for the meeting…..the technical
information …
General
Minister said that with Joy we have gathered here….6 years ago we met and that
joy and experience is still alive and active…..this year we have come to
Assisi….to stay together as brothers….to find one another to dialogue and be
with each other….to share and celebrate…..to renew our sense of belonging
……there is Cardinal and many Archbishop and Bishop…from India we don’t have any
Bishops….
The
Bishops have a lot to share…..As Capuchin Bishops at the service of the
Church…..
